Addition of Race and Ethnicity to Admission, Scholarship, and Fellowship Policies for the Academic Year 2005-2006
As authorized by the Board of Regents and beginning with the academic year 2005-2006, and subject to the approval of the chancellor, the University of Texas at Austin has added race and ethnicity to the criteria considered for student admission and for awarding of scholarships and fellowships in those cases when an individualized and full-file review is conducted as part of the selection process.
Financial Exemptions for Texas Residents
Exemptions are a type of financial assistance allowing some Texas residents to attend a public college or university in Texas without paying tuition or, in some cases, tuition and fees.

Title IX/ADA/504 Coordinators
Federal law prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender (Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972) and disability (Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990). The University has designated the following persons as Coordinators to monitor compliance with these statutes and to resolve complaints of discrimination based on gender or disability:

Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act
In compliance with the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act, the University makes available to all enrolled students and employees an annual security report. This report and information concerning graduation rates are available from the Office of Admissions.
