Applying for Freshman Admission
Most applicants to The University of Texas at Austin apply for freshman admission. You should do the same, if you:
- Have graduated or will soon graduate from high school or receive a GED and
- Have not enrolled in another college or university after graduating from high school or earning a GED.
Do you plan to live on campus? Do you want to apply for financial aid or scholarships? If so, you’ll need to complete a separate process. Learn about the steps you need to take as soon as possible.
If you enrolled at another college or university after graduating from high school, you should apply for transfer admission instead of freshman admission.
If you believe that you may need to apply as an international undergraduate, please review the information on our International Undergraduate site.
