The University of Texas at Austin

Requirements for 2010 Applicants Available in Spring 2010

The following enrollment requirements apply to students participating in the CAP during the fall 2009-spring 2010 academic year.

Students offered participation in the Coordinated Admission Program select a UT System school to attend. UT Arlington, UT El Paso, UT Pan American, UT Permian Basin, UT San Antonio and UT Tyler have established minimum enrollment requirements for CAP students. Students who do not meet the CAP requirements for one of these schools will not be offered that school as an option for their CAP participation. UT Brownsville chose not to impose minimum CAP enrollment requirements.

A student’s eligibility to attend a particular UT System institution is based on the SAT (critical reading and math) or ACT scores and class rank UT Austin used in making a student’s admission decision. (UT Tyler uses the SAT critical reading, math and writing scores to determine eligibility.) Any class rank and/or SAT or ACT scores provided to UT Austin after the admission decision date are not considered for CAP decisions.

The highest SAT score (critical reading and math; UT Tyler uses critical reading, math and writing) or ACT composite score from one test date is used to determine which institutions an individual student is eligible to attend as part of CAP; combined high scores from different test dates are not used.

If a CAP participant attended a high school that reported a class rank on a transcript or other documentation, the class rank reported by the school before an admission decision was made is used to determine which institutions the student may attend as part of CAP.
